Never able to sit still, I'm always on the go. With a camera at my side, I'm always seeking out a new adventure, experiencing a new place, living in a different culture, or meeting someone new.  My wanderlust has brought me to the far corners of the earth and I still have a lot of ground to cover.

Film Vs. Digital: A Comparison of the Two Mediums

Chris Ford

Digital: Canon 5D Mark II

Film: Kodak Portra 400 taken with a Contax G2 camera

Both film photography and digital photography have their strengths and weaknesses. Digital, in my opinion, renders film with a machine-like consistency. These images can really pop after their rendered in Photoshop. Film, on the other hand, is much more unpredictable. I never quite know what I'm going to get from it, but it's rarely disappointment. Colors, tones, and even shapes often seem to work more harmoniously with film than with digital. The medium has a certain swagger that digital images just can't reproduce.
